what is emsculpt?
EMSculpt is a revolutionary treatment designed to help individuals build muscle and tone their body. During the procedure, high intensity electromagnetic waves target a specific area, enlarging current muscles and growing new muscle fibers. This leads to muscle building and sculpting of the body.

HOW IT WORKS
Because muscles are being so heavily overworked, they signal fat cells to break down and release free fatty acids. The treatment area is flooded with fatty acids and causes fat cells to malfunction and die. The dead fat cells are then metabolized by the body and excreted as waste.
The muscles undergo extensive cellular changes as they thicken and strengthen. One or two days after treatment, patients will notice improvement in the treatment area. And after just a few treatments, patients will look as if they had spent six months dieting and exercising.
Treatment of the buttocks is slightly different, as the goal is to build gluteal muscles that will create a round form, without destroying shape-enhancing fat.
EMSculpt is not recommended for patients with implanted metal or electronic devices, such as pacemakers. EMSculpt is also not safe for pregnant women. Patients should speak to their physician to find out if EMSculpt is an option for them.

What to Expect During Treatment
During treatment, patients lay down while the device sends targeted electromagnetic waves to the treatment area. Patients will feel like they are having an intensive workout. The first ab protocol cycle contracts muscles about a hundred times within a few seconds, while the second phase contracts the muscles about a thousand times in a few seconds. The third phase offers very slow, deliberate contractions (about 10 per second), that are designed to help the body flush out toxins and lactic acid to prevent build-up and the pain that comes from over-exercising.
The physician is able to adjust intensity according to patient preference. One patient described treatment as “a subtle tightening of the muscles and some mild TASER-like tingles at 10 or 20 percent intensity grows to an extreme gripping and upward pull with sharper zaps. You can actually see the muscles rise up from your abdomen.”
Each treatment lasts 30 minutes and patients will not need any recovery time or pre/post treatment preparation. Patients are recommended to have a minimum of four sessions scheduled 2-3 days apart. They will feel tangible results immediately after treatment, and will continue to see results and improvement for weeks after their final treatment.
