MEET Dr. Shahram Javaheri

Co-Founder and Medical Director of New Skin & Body Aesthetics.

Dr. Javaheri is an Orange County Native and moved here with his family in 1983. He attended University High School in Irvine, CA and later went to UC Irvine School of Biological Sciences where he was a member of Alpha Epsilon Delta, the Pre-Medical honor society.

He furthered his studies at Georgetown University Graduate School of Physiology & Biophysics Master’s Program followed by his medical degree at St. George’s University School of Medicine. His graduate clinical training includes an Internal Medicine Internship & Residency at UCSF-Highland Hospital in Oakland, California where he was voted as “Resident of the Year” and a Gastroenterology/Hepatology Fellowship at the prestigious California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco, California. He currently has triple Board Certification in Gastroenterology, Internal Medicine, and Obesity Medicine.

He then moved back to Orange County and has been practicing gastroenterology, including diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy. In 2008, he was awarded “Outstanding Performance in Service to Patients and Colleagues” by Monarch Healthcare group.

It has been a longtime desire of Dr. Javaheri to enter into the field of Aesthetics Medicine. He has attended multiple trainings and symposiums to further his knowledge and expertise in the field of Aesthetics, and holds certification with the International Association of Physicians in Aesthetic Medicine, (IAPAM).

Dr. Javaheri’s strong commitment to delivering natural-looking results is a key component to his comprehensive and health-oriented aesthetic medical practice, and sets him apart from many others who provide aesthetic and anti-aging treatments. For all of his patients, his goal is to help them look younger and completely natural.

Dr. Javaheri has a particular interest in weight loss through non-surgical endoscopic techniques, better known as bariatric endoscopy. He has special training in the placement of intragastric balloons for weight loss and in endoscopic suturing techniques using Overstitch for the reduction of stomach volume. Dr. Javaheri is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association, American College of Gastroenterology, American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, Association of Bariatric Endoscopy, Obesity Medical Association, and American Society of Metabolic & Bariatric Surgeons. He is currently on staff at Mission Hospital and Saddleback Memorial Medical Center.
